June 2008

June 2008

June flew by with about 600 volunteers here over the course of the last 4 weeks. Teams cleared property, set the pilings for a new house, framed another, ran electrical and plumbing on others, hung sheet rock, painted, laid flooring, built pump houses, decks, porches, and stairs, hung siding, installed doors and windows, and just about everything that goes into building a house. We also had folks doing jobs all around the church property, working in the distribution center, visiting and praying with folks in the community, and all sorts of other things. Trying to list every single thing that every team did would prove an impossible task, but I do want to thank everyone for their generosity, service and hard work. The following groups worked in Lakeshore this month:

  1. I just love seeing the names of the different churches from around the country that have joined in the re-building of Lakeshore + surrounding communities.
Thanks for sharing this every month, Don.

  2. I am from Crosspoint baptist church, and I just wanted to check out this site, see if any of our pictures have gotten on here, and look at the projects we worked on, I has of yet been unable to see any, but I just started looking about 2 minutes ago. GO LAKESHORE.
