In September 2017 Hurricane Maria, a Category 5 storm, slammed into the island of Puerto Rico. As a pastor on the Mississippi gulf coast, who went through Hurricane Katrina, I know the road of relief, recovery, and rebuilding for them would be long and hard. In addition to the scope of the devastation, the isolated nature of a Caribbean island would make matters even more dificult. On my first trip I met several men determined to persevere, and minister to their communities in both physical and spiritual ways. Not wanting them to be forgotten, I plan to make another trip to encourage them and see how we can best continue to partner with the churches there for the glory of God. My two brothers, Keith and David Elbourne will accompany me on this trip. If you would like to contribute to the cost of our travels, you can do so here. Thank you so much. We appreciate your support and prayers.
