In September 2017 Hurricane Maria, a Category 5 storm, slammed into the island of Puerto Rico. As a pastor on the Mississippi gulf coast, who went through Hurricane Katrina, I know the road of relief, recovery, and rebuilding for them would be long and hard. In addition to the scope of the devastation, the isolated nature of a Caribbean island would make matters even more dificult.
