Rounding out 2008

Georgia Baptist Students

This week students from across Georgia help us usher out 2008 and hit 2009 in full stride. With Baptist groups from 14 schools represented we have about 250+ hard working, energetic volunteers this week accomplishing a great amount of clean-up and other projects. Its a great week and everyone seems to be having a blast to the glory of God.

I don’t see many comments anymore on these posts but I’m sure there are lots of people out here like me who look at this site faithfully. We didn’t make it there at all in 2008 but my heart has never lost its longing to again see Lakeshore Mississippi and the many faithful people from your community and church. I continue to get letters from John. Please continue to encourage him to continue his prison ministry. I know there are men who look forward to his mail. I am amazed at how the Lord continues to sent groups of people to your community to rebuild and restore hope. No one who has visited and worked with you these past years could ever forget the experience. Thanks again for your faithfulness for what you do and having allowed me and my family to have been a part of it.

Ditto, Bill. My thoughts exactly. Our church also did not make it down in 2008 but we will never forget the friends we made in Pastor Don, Greg, James, Ms Bea, Jamie and many others while we were there. We were Blessed to be a small part of Lakeshore’s mission on 3 trips in 2006 + 2007 and continue to pray for Strength + His Grace to be upon Lakeshore Baptist Church as your servanthood + evangelism continues. Here’s to a Blessed New Year!!!

It’s great to see the picture of the group. This trip was a high point of my year and the opportunity to do what I’d been wanted to do since August 29, 2005. I was totally impressed with Lakeshore’s ministry and with the Southern Baptist disaster relief organization.
