Thank you so much for all the prayers and encouraging words you all have sent in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. We still do not have any word on exactly how high the water rose in our house. If you have seen the news coverage pictures of New Orleans, it doesn’t look good. We will not be able to get into New Orleans for a good while. For now we are staying at my parents house in Baton Rouge. We have not decided where we will go from here. Many have asked if they can help financially. We can receive funds via Paypal.

We covet your prayers most of all. I still have not heard from most of our church members. Reports coming out of the Lakeshore/Waveland/Bay St. Louis area say that Katrina left nothing standing.

I know some people have wondered why I’ve had nothing to say about Hurricane Katrina. Fact is that I simply don’t know what to say. I’ve spent hours and hours watching CNN just trying to make sense of it all. It is just an incredible catastrophe tha…
Don will attempt to travel to Lakeshore today (Sept 2). Please pray for hm and his brother. They must go the long way around New Orleans to get there.
Don, I hope you will post an update when you return. I am worried about this trip and have been praying for you throughout the morning. May thre Lord bring you safely through and guide you to your church people.
I’m praying for you and believers using this Psalm.
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength,
a very present [2] help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy habitation of the Most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns.
6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter;
he utters his voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
8 Come, behold the works of the Lord,
how he has brought desolations on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
he breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the chariots with fire.
10 “Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
11 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

Hi Don-
Just saw your website tonight; will be passing it along to other Brothers in the Lord.
My teens will be upholding your church tonight as we meet; I hope and pray that your services, if any, will be visited by the Spirit and a tremendous encouragement to your own weary soul.
In Christ-
