Robbed

The nightmare continues. My wife woke up this morning to go for a bike ride. She is an avid cyclist and has not been able to spin her legs much since the disaster hit. I got a call from the police that they found her car on Old River Road in Baton Rouge with the window busted out. My Dad and I rushed out to find her. We found her. She is safe. The thief took her purse out of the trunk. Now she has no driver’s license, we have to cancel our credit cards, and go through all the hassles that in tales, all while not having a house to return to ourselves and ministering to our church family who themselves have all lost all their property. We now have no credit cards to buy gas and supplies as we travel back and forth between Baton Rouge and Lakeshore. On the way back to my parent’s house, through alligator tears my wife said, “I just want to go home.” Ya’ll pray for us. This is tough and overwhelming, but God will see us through.

You guys can do this. I’m so glad she’s safe! I know it seems overwhelming in light of everything else though. 🙁
You are very kind hearted and of course your church family is important, but so are you. Please don’t forget that.

praying, Don. Keep the faith brother.
Keep in touch with us here and let us know specifics of how we can pray.

I am so sorry to hear about that. We are praying for you all.

Make sure your wife knows that even in th emidst of her suffering, the fact that she is suffering unjustly is allowing the gospel to go forward. I can’t imagine how many people (both Christians and unbelievers alike) have heard about her story because of the internet. I don’t mean that as a platitude, but to remind both of you know that God is using even this for His glory. That doesn’t make it any easier, any less sad, or any less unjust, but there is hope in the midst of it.

Blessings,

Bro.Don and Family,
You and your family are in our prayers
daily and hope that the Lord will take care of your family (and church family)..We also lost our home and and it isn’t as heart breaking as to see the church demolished..We hope that things get back to normal in the near future..may God bless you and your family
