Making a list, checking it twice

We were featured on MSNBC again. Check out: LOCATION OF TOY TROVE IS STRICTLY ‘NEED TO KNOW.’ I added a comment to their story:

We enjoyed having these hard working energetic kids from Wisconsin with us this past week. In addition to helping with the toy drive they mucked out houses, constructed some sheds, delivered sheet rock, cleaned yards, re roofed a house, and acomplished a long list of other tasks. They even treated us to a brat fry complete with sauerkraut and Wisconsin cheese.

I can’t thank Pam enough for dreaming up, organizing, driving, and tieing together this amazing Christmas project. I still have not been privy to the secret location, but the glimpses I’ve received assure me that Christmas in Lakeshore will surpassed the imagination of weary locals who predicted a bleak holiday season. I echo Pam’s prayer that Christ, our supreme treasure, would be exalted, glorified, and praised through this outpouring of generosity. I am humbled and encouraged by what God continues to do in Lakeshore.

Mitch Wesley, the BSU Director for Georgia College and State University, contacted me about bringing some students in March for a mission trip. He is currently trying to get money from the Georgia Baptist Convention to help defray the costs for the students. But he will need to write a proposal asap to get the money. Could you write up a proposal for some specific work that students could do in your area around that date? Mail it to Mitch Wesley c/o the Washington Baptist Assn,
PO Box 476 Milledgeville, GA 31059. I will try to get some local churches involved also.
