Resurrection Celebration

Easter in Lakeshore 2009

We in Lakeshore want to wish all our friends from across the country a happy Easter as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our tradition here in Lakeshore is to move our 11:00 am Sunday service to 8:30 am on Easter Sunday morning. We have been inviting our family and friends, passing out flyers, and ran an invitation in our local newspaper. We want to get the word out and invite our community to worship together. You can help us. If you have been to Lakeshore and established a relationship with anyone in our community; please consider giving them a call, wishing them a Happy Easter and inviting them to church this Sunday at Lakeshore Baptist Church. Remind them of the special 8:30 time slot.

This blurb ran in the paper:

Lakeshore Baptist Church invites the community to join in worship on Easter Sunday, April 12 at 8:30 am. In celebration of the resurrection, the Lakeshore Baptist Church Children’s Choir will sing in the service and Pastor Don Elbourne will preach on the subject of “Incorruptible Love” from Ephesians 6:23-24. Lakeshore Baptist Church is located at 6028 Lakeshore Road in Lakeshore MS. For more information call the church office at (228) 469-0110 or visit their website at http://lakeshorebaptist.net

Please join us in prayer that God would see fit to encourage believers with the reality of God’s overwhelming grace through a clear proclamation of the gospel and that others would be drawn to our savior for their good and His glory.

Amen! I will be praying for you and for God’s amazing grace on the people at Lakeshore this resurrection Sunday.

Grace to you.

Trinity Baptist Church in Mentor, Ohio made it home safely at 1:15 am Sat.

Everyone should note the steeple in the background. A gentlemen spent several days repairing it and securing it so the wind won’t knock it down any more. We were blessed to be able to help set it upright on Thursday 4.9.09 afternoon.

Safe travel to our new friends from New York and Michigan.

Praise the Lord and his blessing on Lakeshore!
